Troopers from the Michigan State Police West Branch say 58-year-old Jeffrey Benmark of Gladwin, had left his home in the afternoon to ice fish on a private lake. When he failed to show up for work his boss called his girlfriend who couldn’t find him. Initial investigation showed Benmark walked out onto the thin ice and fell through and is presumed drowned. They are still looking for the body.
