- Kate Middleton recently visited the family support charity FamilyAction
- She opened up about the struggles that all mothers face
- She revealed that even with all the support she gets at home, she’s felt isolated as a mom
Think Kate Middleton has it made as a royal mom? She says she’s more like you than you think. During her visit to the charity Family Action in London, Kate admitted that motherhood can feel “isolating” at times.
While meeting with some volunteers operating the charity’s newly launched helpline, FamilyLine, (it provides support to parents and carers with nationwide text and email services) Kate got real. While Kate has a live-in-nanny and a housekeeper to help her out with her three children, she said she understands that all mothers aren’t as lucky as she’s been.
“Everybody experiences the same struggle,” she told volunteers. “It’s so hard. You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother, particularly in the early days but after the age of one it falls away. After that, there isn’t a huge amount – lots of books to read.”
