Information released this week by The Northern Michigan Rail Ridership Feasibility and Cost Estimate Study shows stops by a proposed train through central Michigan, from Traverse City to Ann Arbor, could generate millions in tourism dollars. Although costly, if tiered upgrades and repairs were made and faster trains were placed, the line could generate $100 million in revenue by 2040 for the area.
