A 4-year-old doe that was reported to be in poor condition – in Klacking Township, Ogemaw County, recently tested positive for chronic wasting disease. It’s the 1st CWD-positive wild deer from that county. It’s a fatal neurological disease that affects white-tailed deer, elk & moose. The disease has also been detected in Gratiot, Isabella, Midland & Montcalm counties, around here.
