The one thing about debating a comedic genius like Whoopi Goldberg on national television is… you never know what she’s gonna do. The Oscar-winning comedienne was engaged in a lively back-and-forth with “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin when Goldberg decided to just walk off the stage.

The debate centered around Miranda Lambert, who called out fans she felt were disrespecting her with constant selfies at a recent show. Goldberg’s stance was “they don’t wanna be there” if they’re so concerned with selfies. While Hostin sided with the concertgoers, saying “I’m gonna take as many selfies as I want if I paid $757 (for a ticket), I’m sorry, just me.”

Goldberg continued to say the issue was about respect, as Hostin stuck to her guns. “I’m leavin’ y’all,” said Goldberg, who stepped off the stage. Turns out, it was Whoopi’s way of making a point- as she began taking selfies with the audience while the show went on. The show cut away to a commercial… almost as if to say “point made.”
