A Shepherd man was killed yesterday morning in a 1-vehicle crash in Gratiot County. 20 year old, Jared Beard was NB on Begole Rd around 6am when his car crossed the center line & ended up running into a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt & speed appears to be a factor in the cause of the crash.
