The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe will be hosting their annual “Honoring, Healing & Remembering” Event, Tuesday starting at 7am with a sunrise ceremony. There’ll also be guest speakers & a student roll call to pay tribute to all the students who attended the Native Boarding School. The school was closed in 1934, after many decades of abuse were reported. This year, The Tribe is being presented with a new Student Eagle Staff that was created by Paul Walker & Larry Verga.
