Michigan officials are asking residents to kill an invasive species first detected in the state last year, as they return this spring. The spotted lanternfly sucks the sap out of plants & crops. Officials say if left alone, these laternflies could negatively impact Michigan’s grape industry, they can also damage or kill more than 70 types of crops.
