It was a case of good news/bad news regarding (3) separate grants the city of Alma applied for to extend the riverwalk and grade their park system. The originally requested $80K for the project. The only funding request approved was for $50K to help create a “pocket park” downtown. The money will come from the Gratiot Parks & Rec Commission and County Board of Commissioners.
