A suspected harmful algae bloom has been identified on Lake Isabella. This type that’s growing on the Lake can produce toxins which can cause HAB. Cyano-bacteria are naturally occurring in lakes, rivers & ponds that can bloom when conditions are right. These blooms usually occur during periods of warmer temperatures, lots of sun & high nutrient levels. People are urged to steer clear of these algae until they are cleaned up.
