Gov Whitmer announced a new apprenticeship program Thursday. The Michigan Statewide Targeted Apprenticeship Inclusion and Readiness system that comes from a $10 million grant the state received from the U.S. Department of Labor.  It will expand registered apprenticeship opportunities for women, people of color, individuals with disabilities and those without a high school diploma.
