Ned Beatty has died. The 83-year-old succumbed to natural causes yesterday. The beloved character actor’s trademark became playing or voicing villains that were charismatic and bumbling but also believably scary. Beatty made his film debut in 1972’s “Deliverance.” Ned, who married Sandra Johnson in 1999, had eight children from three previous marriages.
