Piers Morgan stormed off the set of “Good Morning Britain” after a heated exchange with co-host Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle. Well, Morgan has taken even more heat since… and now he’s out at “Good Morning Britain.”
Morgan’s exit comes after a reported 41,000 complaints – which the UK’s Office of Communications is investigating under its “harm and offense rules” – about Morgan’s comments about Meghan and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. Morgan has been notably critic of Meghan for some time now, and said he was “sickened” by their CBS interview and its “race bombshell”… adding that he doesn’t believe a word that comes out of Megan’s mouth.
ITV has confirmed that after talks with Morgan, he’s quit the morning show, and they’ve “accepted his decision.” He will, however, continue hosting his other ITV shows, like “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.”
- ONE MORE THING! Meghan certainly isn’t the only person Morgan has put in his crosshairs, and Jameela Jamil can attest to that. She’s taken to Twitter saying Morgan’s “relentless campaign of lies and hatred” against her last February led to her having suicidal thoughts. To refresh your memory, they butted heads on social media over Morgan’s comments on DMs from the late “Love Island” host Caroline Flack – who took her own life… after the online scuffle, Jamil says she’s grateful she’s still alive to tell the tale.
