James Franco was sued for sexual exploitation back in 2019 by two students of his defunct acting school Studio 4, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal. Two years later, the case has been settled.

According to court docs obtained by “Variety,” the students have agreed to drop their claims against the actor – their former acting teacher, who they say offered them parts in movies and made them perform “gratuitous” sex scenes. The claims are being dismissed without prejudice, which means they can be re-filed, and fraud allegations from the suit are subject to limited release.

The settlement deal is due to be submitted for court approval by March 15th. So far, it’s unclear how much money was involved.
