Tim Burton has been making magic on the silver screen since the 80s, and now he’s finally coming to television. The “Beetlejuice” director is making his TV debut with a new “Addams Family” series for Netflix.
Based on the title, “Wednesday,” you can probably guess who the new show will be centered around: one of the youngest of the Addams fam, Wednesday Addams. The eight-episode comedy will follow Wednesday as a student at Nevermore Academy as she “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.”
Also attached to the project are “Smallville” creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, who will act as showrunners and executive producers. So far, no word on when the show will hit Netflix. We’ll keep you posted.
