Electric scooters might be coming this summer to Midland. Tonight, Midland City Council will vote to approve a “memorandum of understanding” with Bird Rides to allow a stand-up electric scooter system within the city. If approved, visitors would be able to “hire” one of 100 e-scooters and pay to ride using a mobile app for a dollar to start. They said it is a way to “modernize and diversify” the way residents move around the city.
