Shepherd High School music instructor Jo Ann Gross has been honored as the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) State Band Teacher of the Year. Nominations from (16) districts were included, in the band/orchestra category. She was nominated by a colleague from Jackson & found out she won on Saturday.Winners are normally announced by the President at a conference in Grand Rapids.
