Mark Beard Sr of Mt Pleasant died over the weekend. He founded Beard Motorsports and owned the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series. He also worked in the family business Beard Oil Distributing. He died at his home. He was 72.
