Siegfried Fischbacher has died. The 81-year-old succumbed to pancreatic cancer at his home in Las Vegas. His death comes eight months after the death of his longtime stage partner, Roy Horn. The 75-year-old passed away in May from coronavirus complications.

As the story goes, Siegfried & Roy met on a cruise ship and came up with a show that combined magic and animals. They toured Europe before landing in Vegas in 1967. They performed as part of Las Vegas stage shows “Folies Bergere,” “Hallelujah Hollywood,” and “Lido de Paris.” They became headliners at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in 1981, moving to The Mirage in 1990. Their successful run ended when Roy was mauled and dragged offstage during a live show in 2003.

Funeral services for Siegfried will be private with a public memorial later.
