A teacher in Midland County used his CPR training to save a student’s life. Now, he’s being honored with the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver Hero Award. Brent Doty, a sixth grade teacher at Jefferson Middle School, sprung into action after a student dropped to the ground at the end of the school day. If he hadn’t performed CPR on Landon Stanford before EMS arrived, Landon could’ve suffered brain damage.
