The suspected Hollywood Con Queen, who for years has impersonated some of entertainment’s biggest power players, has been arrested.
Authorities in Manchester, England, arrested Hargobind Tahilramani, a 41-year-old Indonesian ex-con, who had been going by the alias Gobind Tahil at the time of the arrest.
Her con had been going on for years and involved the scammer convincing actors, writers, makeup artists, stunt performers, and others to fly to Jakarta, Indonesia, for their big break in film production. But once the unwitting victims arrived, they wound up being pressured into paying for various services, and the movie projects turned out to be fake.
The U.S has filed charges against Tahilramani as well since she has been indicted on federal charges in California, including wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
