Vera Wang is used to making headlines for her gorgeous designs for A-list clientele… but earlier this year, it was what she was wearing that had the internet doing a double take. As you may recall, the legendary designer went viral for posting a pic in a sports bra and shorts back in May.
The pics caused the internet to basically explode, because Wang was looking so good and fit at 70 that people couldn’t even believe it was really her! Wang says she was “totally shocked” by the response. At the time, she was actually trying to show off her hair clips, so she decided to “minimize” her outfit to put more emphasis on the clip… but instead, she drew attention to her killer abs.
“The fact it became about my Palm Angels workout top was so crazy,” she says. “I always thought of myself as somebody who, in all fairness, was the creator and not the subject matter.”
