Maria Bakalova pulled some epic pranks as the breakout star of “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.” While she totally trusted Sacha Baron Cohen to never put her in a “dangerous situation” making the comedy… she admits she was nervous pranking Rudy Giuliani.
Giuliani ended up calling the cops over the spoof interview, which ended with Borat busting in on Bakalova and Giuliani in a private hotel room for post-interview drinks. Bakalova says he “came just in time,” and that she doesn’t know how things would have gone if he had jumped out any later.
“I was kind of scared that something would happen, but fortunately we escaped,” she adds. “Movies like this are going to show people’s true colors, it’s going to show Rudy’s real character. So, no, I don’t feel bad.”
