Home Improvement” Stars Reunite For A New Project – The stars of the 90s sitcom “Home Improvement” are coming together for a new project on the History Channel.
Tim Allen and Richard Karn will reunite for a new competition series with the working title “Assembly Required.” ABC announced Tuesday that the ten-episode series will star and be executive produced by Allen, with Karn serving as host and executive producer.
According to a press release, “the show will shine a spotlight on the best and brightest builders across the country at their home workshops,” as they compete to rebuild everyday household items in desperate need of fixing.
The idea is to stop being a disposable society. Allen notes, “Let’s face it — we’re living in a throwaway society. We buy, break, replace… rinse and repeat. Whatever happened to repair and rebuild?”
The show will air in 2021.
