Bryshere Gray has been arrested in Goodyear, Arizona on domestic battery charges after he allegedly beat up a woman who said she was his wife. The woman called the cops after being given a ride by someone she flagged down at a gas station on Sunday night. When they responded, she told them that her husband had assaulted her at home.
According to a press release from the Goodyear Police Department, the wife – whose name wasn’t revealed – was treated and released for her non life-threatened injuries. She allegedly had numerous visible injuries on her body and claimed he’d beaten her for hours. She also said that he’d strangled her and that she’d temporarily lost consciousness.
When the cops went to the “Empire” star’s home, he refused to come out. After several hours – which included the arrival of SWAT and crisis negotiations officers – Bryshere was taken into custody early Monday morning. The 26-year-old was booked in the Maricopa County jail on charges of aggravated assault, assault, and disorderly conduct.
