Concerns about the rapidly spreading COVID-19 virus has prompted the early release of some inmates from the Muskegon County Jail. Fourteen inmates that are on granted work release have already been released from the facility. The remainder of their sentences have been deferred, meaning if they follow through on court orders, they won’t have to serve additional time.
