Willow Smith is getting artistic with her anxiety. She and her musical collaborator Tyler Cole kicked off a performance at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles last night where they’re visually enacting the eight stages of anxiety – paranoia, rage, sadness, numbness, euphoria, strong interest, compassion and acceptance.

While Willow and Tyler won’t be speaking during the performance, she said, “We might grunt or scream — it’s going to be very primal.” The 24-hour experience will allow them to break for periods of sleeping and eating as well as short bathroom trips, which should be no more than two minutes long.

Audience members will be allowed to observe Smith and Cole in the box for about 15 minutes, but after exiting visitors will be welcome to loiter in a room with a video feed, self-help books and stations to donate to mental health organizations.
