Valerie Mears of Lake died in Midland County after her car crossed the center line on M-20 in Greendale Township and hit a car going the other direction. The sheriff’s office says Mears was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, Grace Simsack of Clare, was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.
