Will Smith surprised hundreds of fans sleeping outdoors at Times Square on Saturday night. He read a bedtime story to the crowd taking part in the World’s Big Sleep Out, a global fundraiser fighting homelessness. And by “bedtime story,” we mean a spoken version of his hit ‘90s sitcom “Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” theme song.

The crowd wasn’t getting much sleep, but they were certainly entertained. Will also spoke about how his role as a homeless man in 2006’s “The Pursuit of Happiness” changed him. “It makes me emotional thinking about it,” he said. “To not have a place to go and be able to lay your head down with your children at night is a horrendous tragedy.”
