Famed Christian comedian and YouTuber John Crist has canceled the rest of his tour dates for the year after being accused of sexual misconduct by five anonymous women. Speaking to Charisma News, the alleged victims have accused Crist of “exploiting his Christian reputation and platform to harass, manipulate and exploit young women over the last seven years.”
Crist isn’t denying the claims, either. Well, not exactly. He’s issued an apology admitting that he’s been accused of “hurtful behavior” by women before. In fact, he’s revealed that he’s been struggling for years with “sexual sin and addiction,” a battle he says his family, team and close friends have been aware of “for some time.” But he also maintains that he didn’t do everything he’s accused of.
Crist also apologized to the people he’s hurt and for “violating my own Christian beliefs.” “Even though I’ve shared many of my life struggles with my audience, I’ve lived in constant fear of the darkest parts of my life being exposed publicly,” he continues. “I have decided to cancel my remaining tour dates this year in order to devote all my time and energy on getting healthy.”
Joe Pesci is reviving his music career. Ahead of the release of his new Netflix movie “The Irishman,” the actor has revealed that he’s releasing his first new album in 21 years.
