As you’ll recall, Rosie O’Donnell laid it all out in her new book “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View.’” Comments she made about Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Whoopi Goldberg made headlines and rubbed some people the wrong way – and now Rosie has addressed her claims.
Hasselbeck called it “offensive” when Rosie said in her book that they had “lesbian undertones” while co-hosting “The View.” During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Monday, Rosie said that Hasselbeck took her words “out of context.” “She knows, too – that’s the thing, she knows exactly what I’m talking about,” she added.
When it comes to Whoopi, Rosie had called working with her “the worst experience I’ve ever had on live television.” But they’ve kept things “cordial” since the book’s release, according to Rosie, who recalled bumping into her former co-host recently. “I’m always going to respect her, I’m always going to look up to her, she was inspirational in my career,” she noted.
