Two downstate men are in jail for stealing cell phones and credit cards from pockets, purses and coats at Wayside Central in Mt Pleasant. Police say the men would steal the cards and take them to Meijer in Mt Pleasant and try to buy Visa gift cards through the self check out lane. Police caught them in the act. A third suspect is still on the run.
