- There was a fire at George Foreman’s home Sunday night.
- About 40 of his cars suffered water and smoke damage.
- A golf cart caught fire.
Many of George Foreman’s cars – about 40 of them – were slightly damaged in a fire in the garage at his home near Houston. Apparently a golf cart caught fire. The cause was determined to be accidental and mostly contained to the golf cart.
According to a spokesperson for the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, firefighters came because of a call late Sunday. The cars were damaged mostly by water and smoke. While people were home at the time of the fire, it wasn’t clear if George himself was there.
The heavyweight champ-turned grill guru addressed the situation on Twitter later. He thanked the firefighters and said that all was well, adding, “Dogs are barking and I don’t mean my feet.”
