Life has truly come full circle for Meg Ryan. The woman who made a name for herself in movies like “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” and “You’ve Got Mail” is writing her own romantic comedy.
“It’s at Working Title Films,” the soon-to-be Mrs. John Mellencamp explained. “I’ll just leave it at that. Getting that green light. …You feel like you’re jinxing it if you’re talking about it.” And after starring in several rom-coms, she finally understands the inner workings. The way she sees it, “Romantic comedies are confections, but they have construction. There’s architecture. It’s not something I was aware of back then.”
At this point, Meg is hoping to direct the film, but she didn’t mention whether she’d appear in it. We’ll keep you posted.
