Johnny Depp is out to prove that he didn’t assault Amber Heard. According to TMZ, the actor has filed new court docs citing new evidence he says refutes Heard’s claims that he beat her.
Depp has filed the docs in the United Kingdom as part of his defamation lawsuit against The Sun for publishing an article calling him a “wife-beater.” The article in question cites an alleged altercation between the two actors in 2016, when Heard alleges that Depp hit her in the face with a phone and otherwise assaulted her, supposedly supported by pictures she took of her resulting injuries.
In his new legal docs, Depp has provided statements by witnesses and responding officers who say they didn’t any injuries on Heard that day. According to his lawyer Adam Waldman, they also have security footage that counters Heard’s claims. Check out the docs for yourself HERE.
