A local police officer was recognized for his efforts Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant Police Officer Jeff Thompson was among 53 law enforcement officers honored with Department of Justice Awards for “extraordinary effort and contribution” to successful prosecutions. The ceremony was in Detroit.
