The Food and Drug Administration in the US will look to reduce nicotine levels in cigarettes as well as other nicotine related products.  Such as quit smoking patches and gum.  They will also begin regulating the nicotine amounts in cigars and e-cigs by the year 2020 (was previously 2021).  The FDA is also increasingly worried about the “kid appealing” flavors that most e-cigs.  Patricia Folan, applauded the FDA’s attention to this topic, she said, “Not only are flavors attractive to youth, but are also harmful to lung health.”  Cigarette smoking continues toi be the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the United States.  For more information check out the full story at kfvs.com.
