We’re nearing the end of summer but that doesn’t mean outdoor activity is slowing down! If you and your kids enjoy taking leisurely bike rides through Mt. Pleasant’s river trail system, around town or your own neighborhood, it’s best to Play It Safe!
Isabella Community Credit Union has teamed up with many area organizations for the 3rd annual Play It Safe Kid’s Health and Safety Day and invite you to bring that bike down to Island Park this Friday from noon to four P.M. to get a check up. There will be bike safety inspections, bike helmet fittings and giveaways. You can also have your children’s vision tested, get a fingerprint ID kit and blood typing.
Safety isn’t the only focus of the day though. How about some FUN? There will be arts and crafts, a K-9 demonstration, photo booth, reindeer and alpaca, food, games and more! And it’s all FREE!
Don’t forget to look under the big pavilion for Tina Sawyer from My 1043…she’ll be broadcasting from Noon to two P.M. Dare her to kiss an alpaca and see what happens!
Eat lunch, pet the reindeer and make sure your ‘ride’ is safe for the remainder of outdoor fun at Play It Safe Day this Friday!
