Union Township residents expressed their disdain for a pile of mattresses and shingles gone untouched at the intersection of Deerfield and Lincoln Roads. Property owner Raymond Recker said a group of what appeared to be college students cleaned up ditches on the road and pulled the mattresses out about a month ago, but left them on the property. Isabella County Waste Management said they would send a truck before the end of the week to see if they could take care of them.
