Union Twp. Trustees approved a special use permit for a new proposed jail and sheriff’s office location. The permit is for the south side of Remus Road near Isabella and Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum. Members of the Museum did express their concern of having a jail near a children’s museum and others were concerned about noise and in mates.
