Hilary Duff’s latest Instagram post shows her in full protective mom mode. The former Disney star has posted a video of her exchange with a photographer who she caught snapping photos of children – including her own – at football practice.
In the video, she confronts the lone, male photographer, asking him if he’s with any of the children playing football. When he answers “no,” she asks him calmly to stop taking photos of the kids, most of whom she says are under 10 years old. His response? “It’s legal,” and that he was just “practicing” his photography.
Of course, we don’t know what the situation is for sure, or if he’s really a “paparazzi” like Duff claims. But he did offer to show her an ID of some kind, which Duff turned down. All she wanted was simply for him to stop, which he all but outright refused to do before accusing the actress of making the situation “creepy.”
What do the fans think? There are mixed reactions. Some totally get where Duff was coming from as a mom, but others think the man was in his right to practice his photography without being put on blast – even if the subject is other people’s children.
