A 42-year-old Mt. Pleasant man will spend 21 months in federal prison for breaking into a home and beating its residents. Paul Edmund Showmin Jr. was sentenced for the March break-in and attack, in Bay City, on Thursday. He pled guilty to 1st degree home invasion & attempted to throw a resident down a flight of stairs.
