Michael J. Fox Recovers from Surgery

Michael J. Fox is recovering from a recent spinal surgery, according to his rep Leslie Sloane. She says the procedure was unrelated to his Parkinson’s Disease and he’s doing just fine. “He is recovering, feeling great, and looking forward to getting back on the golf course this summer,” Leslie notes.

Fox had been scheduled for an appearance for the last week of April at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo in Canada, but at the time of the announcement, the event cited “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason he would not be in attendance.

We wish him a speedy recovery!

  • Aside from turning up on the ABC drama “Designated Survivor,” Fox recently appeared on “Good Morning America” where he spoke about his Parkinson’s and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. When asked what advice he gives to people suffering from the disease like him, he says, “That’s the key. I always drive the point home: We are the answer we’re looking for. We have the answers within us somewhere. We need to find a way to identify the disease before symptoms ever exist. People say ‘Is there a cure?’ There’s not a cure, we have a lot of questions to answer before then, but we’re answering them.”
