The heating of soil at the old Velsicol site in St. Louis has started and will be monitored. Soil sampling will take place at the end of the project to ensure the contaminants have been removed to a safe level. Residents will see water vapor or steam periodically coming from the on-site stack. A website will also be live for residents to view progress.
