Prospective educators who need to submit fingerprints for background checks will no longer be able to get that service at the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Main said his office doesn’t have the staff to perform both educational/teacher fingerprinting b/c the state of Michigan recently mandated sheriff’s offices to perform additional fingerprinting requirements for gun registrations.
