The former Bay City Public Safety Director has plead no contest to one count of assault and battery, which stems from an altercation he had with an 18-year-old man in September of 22. 57-year-old Michael Cecchini was upset with the 18-year-old be he thought he was disturbing the peace. The young man was part of a group riding Bird scooters in the area & allegedly making some noise. The Michigan AG said he was off duty at his home & used his badge to confront the group.
