A 19-year-old Blanchard man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Montcalm County, Wednesday afternoon. He was driving East near Reed Road in Pierson Township when he went off the road & hit a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, which remains under investigation. The Sheriff’s office says he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt & speed was a contributing factor.
