Mt Pleasant City Commission agreed to a 2nd police officer in schools

A divided Mt Pleasant City Commission agreed Monday night to assign a 2^nd police officer to the Youth Services Unit.  This move comes (2) weeks after Superintendent Verleger asked for one because of an increased need. Mayor Perschbacher & Vice Mayor Olivia Cyman, who voted against the move, both said more data was needed before approving the Superintendents request.
