Showtime has said, “No, thanks,” to a second season of “The First Lady.” The decision came a little over six weeks after the series aired its first season finale. The anthology cut between three different eras of the White House, following the political and private lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford, and Michelle Obama, played by Gillian Anderson, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Viola Davis, respectively.
