“Gilligan’s Island” star Dawn Wells has died due to coronavirus complications.
She played the sweet and kind Mary Ann on the hit show. Wells isn’t just known for her time on “Gilligan’s Island.” She was in more than 150 TV shows and many films. Wells also competed in the 1959 Miss America pageant representing Nevada. Wells was 82.
The last surviving cast member of “Gilligan’s Island” is now Tina Louise, who played Ginger. She reacted to her friend’s passing by noting, “Dawn was a very wonderful person. I want people to remember her as someone who always had a smile on her face. Nothing is more important than family and she was family. She will always be remembered.”
